Brief description
In 2022, based on the findings of a global survey, Canada was ranked fourth place among the best countries for education in the world. Canada is also home to some of the top universities in the world that offers a wide range of the educational program.
Some international students come to Canada to receive education from one of the best educational systems in the world, while others come to decide to stay in Canada permanently.
Some advantages of studying in Canada over other countries:
- Tuition fees are in general considered lower than in other countries.
- Work permit, international students are allowed to work for 20 hours* during semesters and full-time during school breaks. Public policies my affect the work hours *
- Family members (spouses or common-law partners) may accompany the student and may obtain an open work permit that allows them to work for any employer.
- Children are allowed to attend Canada’s public elementary or secondary schools without the need to apply for their own study permits
- Applying for the post-graduation work permit (PGWP) which allows international students who graduate from universities and colleges in Canada to work in Canada for up to three years upon graduation.
